dan_hewitt_interview_manifesto_launch_13_04_2015.pngYesterday the Labour party launched its 2015 General Election Manifesto in Manchester and Lucy spoke to Granada News about what's in it for the North.

As part of plans to devolve power to the North, Labour have pledged to transfer £30 billion to local cities and counties, giving local bodies the power to transform housing and transport systems, and giving local authorities more control over their services.

Lucy said:

Today Labour have shown that we are the only party able to properly represent and deliver for the North. This Tory-led coalition have done so much damage to northern England with unfair policies and savage cuts, and cities like Manchester and Liverpool have as usual been hit the hardest.

Labour have a plan to deliver for Manchester and the North by giving power back to cities, regions, counties and local councils, giving resident more control over their local services like housing, transport and the local economy.
