Lucy responded to fresh figures which show that Arriva have missed their target for getting patients to appointments on time every month for the past year.
The figures also show that Arriva upheld 48 complaints about their service in March alone.
Since raising the issues with Arriva's service, Lucy has been inundated with complaints. She has met with Arriva about her concerns and this week discussed the issue with Blackpool Clinical Commissioning Group who are responsible for Arriva's contract and who have asked Arriva to produce a Performance Improvement Plan.
These figures show that despite some improvement, people are still being let down by Arriva’s ambulance service.
Most importantly, Arriva are still missing their target for getting people to appointments on time. I accept that there have been improvements but they are still missing this target every single month and it is this target which affects patients the most.
People still call me every week with examples of poor service and the fact that Arriva upheld so many complaints in one month confirms that there are still serious issues which they need to address.
