This week, Lucy signed the Holocaust Educational Trust's Book of Commitment, ahead of Holocaust Memorial Day on Wednesday.
This year's Holocaust Memorial Day marks the 71st anniversary of the liberation of the concentration camps and last year Lucy visited Auschwitz with local students as part of a project organised by the Holocaust Educational Trust. You can read more about the visit here.
Signing the Book of Commitment, Lucy said:
Holocaust Memorial Day is an important opportunity to remember the victims and survivors of the Holocaust and I was especially honoured to be able to visit Auschwitz-Birkenau recently along with some students from my constituency. It's therefore an honour to be able to sign the book today, both in remembrance of the millions of victims of the Holocaust and in recognition of the work of survivors and organisations like the Holocaust Educational Trust in ensuring the lessons of the Holocaust are not forgotten.
