Lucy supports National Transplant Week

18-LucyPowell-SusIre.jpgLucy is supporting National Transplant Week, a week coordinated by the NHS that is designed to promote organ donation and transplants while raising the profile of these key issues. NHS Blood and Transplant wants to get the whole nation talking about organ donation, with the theme of this year’s Transplant Week being ‘Seven Days to Say Yes I Donate’.

Lucy said:

It’s fantastic to see that more than 21 million people across the UK have joined the NHS Organ Donor Register, but there’s still a long way to go. I’m really pleased to support the campaign and would encourage everyone who hasn’t thought about it yet to look into organ donation and discuss their wishes with their loved ones.

You can sw your support for National Transplant Week by joining the NHS Organ Donation Register as well as supporting the Facebook group of NHS Blood and Transplant at www.facebook.com/organdonationuk and by following @NHSOrganDonor on Twitter. Lucy proudly backs this campaign which she hopes will leave her constituents, family and friends happy to #SayIDonate.
