Lucy visits EDM headquarters in Newton Heath

small.pngLast week Lucy visited the headquarters of EDM.

Based in Newton Heath, the company are one of the world’s leading providers of civil aviation and defence simulators. Lucy enjoyed a tour of the facility and the chance to view a selection of EDM’s civil aviation training equipment, including the Cabin Service Trainers used by Singapore and Ethiopian Airlines.

Lucy also saw demonstrations of some of EDM’s training equipment for the defence market, such as a Crew Escape and Safety Systems Trainer and Ejection Seat Trainer.

Speaking of the visit, Lucy said:

It was extremely interesting to tour the EDM facilities and I’d like to thank the team for organising demonstrations of some of the products they provide. The test flight in the Pilot Training Simulator was particularly impressive. It’s great to have the company operating worldwide from here in Newton Heath, especially given their success in recent months, and I’m really pleased to hear that the company will shortly be expanding and providing further job opportunities in the area.
