Lucy Visits Place2be's School-based Mental Health Project

P2B_Visit.jpg.ashx.jpgLucy was recently joined by Shadow Education Secretary Tristram Hunt at the The Divine Mercy RC Primary School to see the work conducted by Place2Be, a children's mental health charity.

Place2Be  is a charity that works with over 200 schools across the UK, providing counselling and support for children who may be experiencing problems in their personal life.

Lucy, discussing her visit, said that she believes that "early interventions, like the one to one counselling that Place2Be provides, can improve children's wellbeing and help them to achieve their potential both at school and in later life".

While being shown round the school, Lucy was able to see firsthand how this work is benefitting schools around Manchester and the UK.
