Lucy is the Labour and Cooperative MP for Manchester Central and Shadow Secretary Digital, Culture, Media and Sports.

She was elected in a by-election on November 15th 2012, becoming the first female Labour MP to represent a Manchester constituency and has campaigned on a range of issues through her time in Parliament, including on the cladding and building safety crisis, leasehold issues, and landlord licensing.
