With the 2024 General Election in full swing, Lucy Powell has been out on the campaign trail, knocking on doors, meeting voters, and making the case for Labour’s plan to rebuild Britain.

Across Manchester Central, Lucy has been speaking to residents about the issues that matter most—the cost of living, housing, public services, and tackling crime. With people struggling after years of Conservative chaos, it’s clear that only Labour has a plan to deliver real change.

Beyond her own campaign, Lucy has been supporting Labour candidates in key battleground seats, helping to take the fight to the Tories across the country. A standout moment of the campaign was when Lucy joined Keir Starmer in Macclesfield for a rally in support of Tim Roca, Labour’s fantastic candidate in the area. The energy was incredible, with hundreds of people turning out to back Labour’s vision for a stronger economy, safer communities, and a better future for all.

Speaking at the event, Lucy and Keir made it clear: Labour is ready to govern. With a plan to fix the NHS, tackle antisocial behaviour, and boost wages, this election is a chance to turn the page on 14 years of Tory failure and build a country that works for working people.
