Lucy Powell had the privilege of joining Deputy Prime Minister, Angela Rayner, and Cllr Pete Davis in visiting Breaking the Wave Foundation’s new home in Failsworth.
Breaking the Wave Foundation has supporting families and people with financial difficulties since the pandemic when Gemma Blackhurst (the founder) was providing food parcels to residents of Failsworth. People are kindly donating food, toys and even furniture. Their aim is to support the people of Failsworth by way of a weekly food parcel and also gift, when requested, other items such as clothing and are now supporting 25 families a week.
Lisa, Gemma and the whole team do a fantastic job in supporting the entire community in Failsworth and a huge thank you to National Gas for their support with this project.
